Dr. King’s words, read aloud, every year.
Each January, Mixed Magic Theatre marks Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a staged reading of Dr. King’s own writing and speeches — part of the company’s ongoing civic engagement programming, under the direction of Artistic Director Jonathan Pitts-Wiley. Past years’ readings have included Dr. King’s Letter from Birmingham City Jail and his Beyond Vietnam address.
