Together, We Keep the Magic Alive
Dear Friends,
As 2025 ends, we at Mixed Magic Theatre reflect with gratitude on your vital support. This year, our stage came alive with music, story, and spirit—from our MLK Day reading of Letter from Birmingham City Jail to A Woman’s Work, celebrating Nikki Giovanni, Bernice Johnson Reagon, and Judith Jamison, and our Freedom & The Arts conversation with Senator Jack Reed and Congressman Gabe Amo.
In June, co-founder Bernadet Pitts-Wiley received a Pell Award for Excellence in the Arts, and our Summer Institute gave Pawtucket high school students paid, production-based experience. These young artists and their mentors brought laughter, lessons, and energy to A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Greatness of Gospel XVIII: Rejuvenation. Every moment of magic this year was made possible by you—thank you for helping us ensure it continues in 2026.
This year, we’ve witnessed both the joy and the urgency of our mission. Across the country, arts
organizations continue to weather difficult times: rising costs, dwindling support, and a culture that often undervalues creative labor. Yet, Mixed Magic continues to rise. We persist because people like you believe in the power of storytelling to heal, inspire, and unite.
In 2026, we begin a bold new chapter—Sow & Harvest, a three-year strategic plan designed to strengthen our foundation and expand our reach. Together, we will sow new programs, partnerships, and educational opportunities, and harvest a future where the stage belongs to everyone.
Your year-end gift ensures that the next act of Mixed Magic’s story is filled with light. Whether it’s $25, $250, or $2,500, your support directly fuels the creativity, access, and excellence that define our work.
Because of you, the magic happens. Your generosity empowers young artists, uplifts underrepresented voices, and fuels productions that ignite community and conversation. Please consider making a year-end gift today to ensure that Mixed Magic Theatre continues to thrive and inspire in 2026.
We are deeply grateful for your trust, your generosity, and your belief in the transformative power of theatre. Thank you for being part of our family, for showing up, and for keeping the magic alive—today, and for generations to come.
With love and gratitude,
Ricardo and Bernadet Pitts-Wiley Co-Founders Mixed Magic Theatre
P.S. Every gift made before December 31st helps Mixed Magic Theatre start 2026 strong—and ensures that the magic you’ve helped build continues to shine bright.
