The Spirit Warrior's Dream
A Chapter Within The Sibo Cycle
Is America an unfinished dream, or a failed idea whose time has passed?
2023–24 Recording Project"Tell me it's not over. Tell me it's not over and I'll believe you."
The Great Strip City.
After social upheaval and environmental disaster, the survivors of the Madness Time built the Great Strip City on top of what was left. This is the story of the people arguing over what comes next.
The Great Strip City
A future America, reorganized after collapse. It is the stage on which every character's choice about the country's future plays out.
The Madness Time
The era of social upheaval and environmental disaster that ended the old America and forced this world into being. "It didn't end. It just went quiet."
Yesterday
A former maximum-security prison, repurposed by the world that came after. Its walls hold more than the people inside them.
The Zones
The Great Strip City is not one place but many, split into Zones. Where a character stands says as much about them as anything they say out loud.
The Ecchos
The Strip City's urban griots — a chorus that carries testimony and memory in rhythm and song, the way griot traditions always have. "We don't remember for you. We remember with you."
An unfinished dream, or a failed idea.
Leta
Teacher and protector. Leta stands between the world as it is and the world her students might still make — armed with instruction instead of illusions.
Makeda, Train, Omar & Second
Four central figures whose choices carry the weight of the story — and the weight of the question underneath it.
The Core Question
Is America an unfinished dream still worth building, or a failed idea whose time has passed? Every character answers differently. The musical doesn't answer for you.
Nearly four decades in the making.
